Scott Bennett
Scott Bennett was born and raised in Michigan. He joined the United States Air Force in March 1987 and was stationed in various locations throughout the world. He first came to Okinawa in 1996 where he was a coworker of Sensei Ron Nix. Scott started karate in 1998 and realized he had found his true passion in life. In 2000, the Air Force took Scott to South Korea for 2 years where he studied Tang Soo Do and earned his 1st degree black belt in the Korean martial art. He returned to Okinawa in 2002 and earned his Shodan in December 2003 and in 2005 earned the rank of Nidan. He was promoted to Sandan in October 2009. He currently serves as an Instructor at the Ryukoku Seidokan Honbu dojo. He retired from the Air Force in March 2008 and chose to make Okinawa his permanent home. His wife is from Okinawa and they have one son.
